Here at Zap, we were the first company with automated instant win competitions. These are usually set up as ‘mini prizes’ that you can win when entering into a competition.
These are setup alongside setting up your main competition. Go to Products->Add New->Complete the details for the main competition as normal->Change Product Data to ‘Competition’->Click ‘Instant Win’->Click ‘Add Prize’. If you are only offering one of that type of prize, select ‘Single Prize’. If you would like to offer multiple of the same prizes for example 100 x £1 Site Credit, select ‘Multiple Prizes’. You will then have the ability to select how many prizes you want to include.

Add a Prize Title e.g. £1 Site Credit->If you wish, add in a prize description and image->If you want to use the TeraWallet plugin, you will have the option of selecting either a Prize or Credit under Prize Type. ->Finally, set the Prize Value. If this is £1 Site Credit, this will be 1. If it’s a physical prize e.g. a football, put the value of the football. If you select ‘Credit’, the value will automatically be added to the customers account upon winning.

You do have the ability to upload Instant Wins from a CSV however, we strongly advise against this due to the volume of error we see. There is a iw-template that can be used however, it has to be adhered to exactly in order to work. The file must be saved using UTF-8 encoding. You can check and convert the file encoding using this tool (upload the file, then scroll down and click ‘Download Full Text (UTF-8 encoding)’).
If you would like the system to automatically assign random ticket numbers, leave the ticket number blank in your CSV file.
